Return & Exchange Policy

At My Garage Door Parts, we want you to feel completely comfortable with your purchase. If something isn’t right, we’ll do our best to make the return process simple and stress-free. If you have questions about selecting the correct part, our support team is happy to assist before you buy.


30-Day Return Window

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return.

To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be in the same condition as received

  • All original parts, packaging, and instructions must be included

  • A receipt or proof of purchase is required

To start a return, please contact us through our contact form.

Once your return is approved, we will provide step-by-step instructions.

Important: Returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted or refunded.


Returns & Refunds

  • Most returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable

  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility

For orders that qualified for free shipping, we reserve the right to deduct the actual outbound shipping costs incurred from any approved refund.


Exchanges

  • No restocking fee for exchanges

  • Original shipping is non-refundable

  • Return shipping is paid by the customer

For the fastest service, we recommend:

  1. Placing a new order for the correct item

  2. Returning the original item (once approved)


Non-Returnable / Non-Exchangeable Items

Due to their custom or special-order nature, the following items are not eligible for return or exchange:

  • Mini-warehouse springs

  • High-cycle upgrade torsion springs

  • Opened garage door openers

  • Custom-made extension springs

  • Special order items and springs

  • Bulk orders

  • As of 04/24/2026: There will be NO returns/exchanges on Commercial Torsion Springs with Inside Diameter of 3-3/8 or 3-3/4"

Additionally, the following cannot be returned:

  • Clearance or final sale items

  • Gift cards


Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

We stand behind the quality of our products.

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us at info@mygaragedoorparts.com with:

  • Photos of the issue

  • A brief description

We will review your case promptly and make it right. If necessary:

  • A replacement will be provided

  • Return shipping will be covered by us


Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the approval status. Please allow up to 5 days for inspection and processing.

If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card provider to process the refund.


Weather & Shipping Delays

Delays caused by severe weather, natural disasters, or carrier issues are beyond our control. Orders cannot be canceled due to these delays.
