The Genie 6070H Wall-Mount Garage Door Opener attaches directly to a compatible garage door torsion spring tube. This eliminates the traditional ceiling-mounted opener rail and powerhead, creating a cleaner installation and freeing valuable overhead space.
Its compact side-mounted design is ideal for garages with ceiling beams, storage racks, high ceilings, or other overhead obstructions. A 24V motor provides smooth residential door operation, while the included automatic door lock helps secure the closed garage door against unauthorized lifting.

Space-Saving Installation
Because the opener mounts beside the garage door, the ceiling remains clear of the conventional opener rail and motor assembly. The freed ceiling area may be used for compatible lighting, storage, vehicle lifts, or simply a cleaner and less cluttered appearance.
Safety and Security Technology

Torsion Spring System Required: This wall-mount opener must connect to a compatible torsion spring tube or shaft. It is not designed for standard residential garage doors using extension springs.
Door Must Be Properly Balanced: The opener is designed to move a garage door that is already correctly counterbalanced by its springs. It should not be used to compensate for broken, weak, incorrect, or improperly adjusted springs.
No Standard Battery Backup: Genie does not list battery backup as standard equipment on model 6070H. Where local regulations require battery backup, select an approved battery-backup model such as the applicable 6170H-B configuration. California has required battery backup on newly installed residential garage door openers since July 1, 2019.
No Integrated Wi-Fi Listed: The 6070H product specifications do not list built-in Aladdin Connect Wi-Fi as a standard feature. Do not assume smartphone monitoring or control is included unless a compatible separate accessory is specifically supplied.
Installation Clearance Required: A wall-mount opener requires adequate torsion-shaft projection, space between the track and side wall, clearance around the bearing plate, room for the automatic lock, and access to a properly grounded electrical outlet. Review Genie’s current pre-installation measurements before ordering.

TorqueMaster Applications: Compatible Wayne Dalton TorqueMaster systems may require a separate Genie TorqueMaster adapter kit. Confirm the exact spring system, shaft arrangement, available clearance, and adapter requirements before ordering.
Compatibility Notice
Verify the garage door type, total door weight, door balance, torsion-shaft diameter, shaft projection, bearing-plate location, cable-drum arrangement, spring system, available sideroom, ceiling clearance, electrical outlet location, track configuration, and automatic-lock mounting position before ordering. A torsion spring system alone does not guarantee compatibility.
Limited Warranty
Genie lists a limited lifetime warranty for the 6070H motor. All warranty coverage is subject to Genie’s current registration requirements, installation conditions, exclusions, proof-of-purchase requirements, and complete written warranty terms.
Safety Warning: Garage doors and torsion spring systems operate under extreme tension. Do not loosen or remove springs, lifting cables, cable drums, bearing plates, bottom brackets, or torsion-shaft components during installation. The door must be properly balanced, all safety sensors and the automatic door lock must be installed and tested, and professional installation by a qualified garage door technician is strongly recommended.
