The Action Industries HB405-00-H Operator Reinforcement Bracket installs vertically along the center of a compatible sectional garage door’s top panel. It creates a stronger and more stable connection point for the garage door opener arm than attaching the arm directly to the thin door skin.
Its adjustable, slotted design accommodates compatible door sections from 18 inches through 24 inches, with adjustment points in approximately 1-inch increments. This allows the bracket to be aligned with the door’s center stile, hinge area, top strut, and opener-arm connection.
Adjustable 18"–24" Fit Slotted construction allows the bracket to be configured for compatible garage door sections from 18 to 24 inches.
12-Gauge Steel Heavy-duty galvanized-steel construction provides rigid support for the opener-arm connection.

Why Reinforcement Is Important
A garage door opener repeatedly pulls and pushes against the center of the top section. Without adequate reinforcement, this concentrated force can loosen the opener connection, bend the section, tear the door skin, or damage the center stile. A properly installed operator bracket spreads the force across a stronger area of the door.
Top-Strut Application: The bracket is designed to work with compatible top-strut installations. The upper portion should be secured to the structural reinforcement of the top section rather than only to the thin door skin.
Joggled Hinge Overlap: The formed lower edge allows the reinforcement bracket to overlap the center hinge area. This provides a more stable installation while allowing the hinge and adjoining door sections to move normally.
Selecting the Correct Adjustment
Measure the height of the top garage door section before installation. Adjust the bracket so it spans the center stile from the hinge area toward the top reinforcement. Confirm that the selected holes align with structural mounting points and do not interfere with windows, hinges, struts, locks, or other hardware.
