J.R.G. V2 Sectional Garage Door Chain Hoist for 1" Shaft
Gear-reduced jackshaft chain hoist designed for smooth, controlled manual operation of compatible commercial sectional garage doors.
The J.R.G. V2 Sectional Door Chain Hoist mounts directly onto a compatible 1-inch keyed solid torsion shaft. It provides a dependable floor-level operating system for commercial sectional garage doors where an electric operator is not required or available.
Its internal 4.5:1 gear reduction multiplies the operator’s pulling force, making a properly balanced door easier to raise and lower by hand. The enclosed gear-drive design eliminates the exposed roller-chain drive used on some other shaft-mounted hoists, creating a compact and controlled operating assembly.
4.5:1 Gear Reduction Reduces the effort required to manually operate a properly balanced sectional garage door.
Internal Gear Drive Uses an enclosed gear mechanism without an exposed drive chain or separate shaft sprocket.
Complete Installation Kit Includes the hand chain, chain keeper, shaft collars, support bracket, and shaft key.

Solid Keyed Shaft Required: This hoist is designed for a compatible 1-inch solid shaft with a keyway. It should not be installed on an unkeyed, undersized, oversized, damaged, or incompatible hollow shaft unless specifically approved by the manufacturer.
Minimum Shaft Offset: The installation requires at least approximately 3-3/8 inches between the torsion-shaft centerline and the supporting wall or mounting surface. Verify that the hoist housing, hand chain, collars, and stabilizing bracket have sufficient clearance.
Hand-Chain Length: The included 26-foot hand chain is formed into a continuous operating loop. Doors higher than approximately 15 feet may require additional compatible hand chain. The completed loop should remain accessible while staying clear of the floor and pedestrian traffic.
Dimensions Notice: Overall housing height, width, depth, internal gear dimensions, shaft-engagement length, wall-bracket hole spacing, and maximum rated door weight were not published in the accessible product listing. Confirm all available shaft and wall clearances before ordering.
Compatibility Notice
Verify the 1-inch solid keyed shaft, 1/4-inch keyway, minimum 3-3/8-inch shaft offset, available shaft length, mounting side, door type, total door weight, door balance, hand-chain length, side clearance, and structural wall-bracket location before ordering. This model is intended for sectional doors and should not be substituted for a rolling-door hoist without manufacturer approval.
Important Operation Notice: A chain hoist is designed to operate a properly balanced and freely moving garage door. Do not use the hoist to force a door with broken springs, damaged tracks, seized bearings, jammed rollers, obstructed sections, or excessive resistance.
Safety Warning: Garage door shafts, springs, hand chains, cable drums, and lifting cables can cause serious injury if improperly installed or serviced. Secure the door, keep hands and clothing away from moving parts, and completely release spring tension whenever the installation procedure requires shaft or torsion-system service. Professional installation is strongly recommended.
