Where Does a #4 Hinge Go?
A #4 hinge is typically used at the left and right ends between the fourth and fifth garage door sections. This position is most common on taller doors with enough sections to require a #4 roller hinge.
Higher Hinge Number = Greater Roller Offset:
Numbered end hinges position the roller progressively farther from the door as you move upward. A #4 hinge should generally replace another #4 hinge in the same position to maintain proper roller and track alignment.
Compatibility:
Confirm the existing hinge number, mounting-hole pattern, roller-stem diameter, hinge width, door section count, and existing hardware before ordering.
